Designer Profile

British designer from London, now living in Koh Phi Phi Island in Thailand, developed a love of traditional Leather craftsmanship and intricate detailing, which followed to become the signature for her first collection as 'Too Posh to Blush…' Studying at Ravensbourne then graduating from London College of Fashion in 2005, the opportunity arose to source possibilities and materials abroad. Work placements, internships, and assisting fashion shows and designers, has also provided a wide influential base to start from. Inspired by 1950's Pin-Up girl era, hints of Swan Lake costume, and Vintage French Cabaret design, features lots of black, soft Leathers, delicate Chiffons and Silks, with French Lace detailing, signifies the first pieces for 'Too Posh To Blush…' Sculptured Waist-Belts, Cuffs, cropped Leather Jackets, and Leather Corsets with floor-length silk-satin ties were created with ideas drawn from Viktor and Rolf, John Galliano and Boudicca Couture. After 2 Fashion Shows in London, selling commissioned selected pieces, demand followed from boutiques such as Harriets Muse in Kingly Court, London. Now back in Thailand with a shop in Phi Phi Island, this allows both Asian culture and tradition to be fused with the London lifestyle she adores, which are both reflected in her designs. Sourcing unique fabrics with vintage sewing techniques to become part of the first new designs. Full of covered buttons, on a dark palette of metallic's and black, of course.
