Designer Profile

Carla Ann Print is a young designer maker who has enthralled in the development of patterns and shapes. Firstly working primarily by hand with the aid of natural research like trees, she then with the aid of CAD programme Rhino, cultivates her ideas into intricate designs. Carla loves to design in 2D, production being a major influence in her process. She proceeds to fold bend and clip the stencilled motifs to create depth and form with a light weight and layered appeal. Hand piercing to a fine finish is Carla's specialism, the last three years she has perfected her skill and feels its a distinctive and integral part of her style.

The mix of geometric shapes within Carla Print's jewellery reflects her interest in old styles with its rich patterning, in particular hinting the Art Deco style. The contemporary element is present through the openness of the jewellery along with the clean and light colours the brass, silver and acrylic give to the overall look.
