Christine So is honorary graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, in the department of jewellery design, London, United Kingdom 2011. Christine designs jewellery as if she is a poet; therefore her works are diverse and unpredictable. She loves to find beauty and light in the art of nature; and use the act of personification to bring her jewellery alive, to express her own voice and vision, also to create laughter as well as expertness. Christine went on to create what others may have forgotten or unaware of around them in daily lives. She intended to make jewellery that metaphor the wearer's feelings and thoughts; not only reflects the actuality or surface truth, but also untruthful shadows and romantic highlights. To see things from different angles and aspects, which provides different views and meanings. Movement and interactive relationships with the body has been another important element throughout Christine's work. Some of the pieces hold a mobile element, which adds dynamics and versatility to the jewels. Combine with sensuality and sophistication, her unique pieces are carefully considered from every perspective - form, function, detail and finishing are all well executed. Her elegance and glamorous perspective are undeniable. Her work makes both female and male desire to collect them, as the jewellery she made is a piece of art and with some kind of sentimental meanings attached. Her collections are wearable, durable, yet playful; to share the metaphor, imagination and humor with the viewer/wearer.
Collection
The hidden secret collection features elegant earrings and rings made of 18ct gold plated sterling silver, multi-coloured sapphires, rhodolite and garnet. Some of the pieces hold a mobile element, which adds dynamics and versatility to the jewels. Combine with sensuality and sophistication, Christine So's unique pieces are carefully considered from every perspective - form, function, detail and finishing are all well executed.
